Treatment Options

We explore all options for your treatment, taking an evidenced-based approach – which means that we provide treatment plans that have research to back them.

We also look at the big picture, and treat the whole patient, not just the orthopedic injury. We educate our patients about their particular condition, and what the options are, both non-surgical and surgical. Patients are encouraged to ask questions, so that we know that they fully understand what we have discussed with them before they leave our office.

For non-surgical options, we offer patients the following:

  • Injections
  • Physical therapy regimens
  • Bracing, splinting or casting
  • Medication regimens
  • Activity modifications
  • Lifestyle change recommendations
  • Other modalities

Among the surgical procedures Dr. Ross performs most frequently are:

  • Achilles tendon repair
  • Arthroscopy of the shoulder, including rotator cuff and labral surgery, biceps surgery, and surgery to repair chronic dislocations
  • Open shoulder surgery, including distal clavicle excision
  • Arthroscopy of the knee, including meniscus and cartilage surgery, anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction, surgery for chronic kneecap dislocation or kneecap mal-alignment
  • Repair of tendon ruptures, including patella and quadriceps tendons, biceps tendons and hand tendons
  • Carpal tunnel surgery
